Acceptable Use Policy

SMSConecta Inc. · 37 Begonia St, Casper, WY 82604, United States · Last updated: September 2026

Prohibited

Fraud, phishing, or impersonation of any kind; unsolicited bulk calls or messages; unlawful robocalls; harassment or threats; spoofing a caller ID you have no right to use; or any conduct that violates the law in your country or the number's country.

Enforcement

Numbers and accounts breaching this policy may be suspended or terminated by us without refund, and we will cooperate with legitimate requests from authorities.

Reporting abuse

To flag abuse, open a support ticket or send an email to our support team.

What counts as allowed use

  • Getting verification codes to register and maintain your own accounts across apps and websites.
  • Running a secondary number for business, e-commerce or customer support that stays separate from your personal line.
  • Holding onto a local number in a foreign country while you travel or live there.
  • Placing and taking calls through a softphone, PBX or the browser dialer, using your own numbers as the caller ID.
  • Routing calls to your own phone or to teammates.
  • Sending one-off SMS to people who are expecting to hear from you.

What counts as disallowed use

  • Spam — bulk or unwanted SMS and marketing messages sent without the recipient agreeing to them.
  • Robocalls, along with any automated or pre-recorded calls to people who never opted in.
  • Phishing, scams, fraud, or any deceptive attempt to get hold of someone's credentials, funds or personal data.
  • Posing as another person, business or government body, including spoofing their caller ID.
  • Dodging bans, suspensions or verification checks on other platforms, or mass-creating accounts to sidestep their limits.
  • Harassment, threats, or stalking.
  • Sending, receiving or promoting illegal content, or using a number for anything illegal in either your location or the recipient's.
  • Reselling or sharing numbers and SIP credentials in a way designed to hide who is really behind any of the above.

What happens if the policy is broken

The response scales with how serious the breach is — a warning, a suspension of the numbers involved or the whole account, or in some cases outright termination. Severe or repeated violations can get an account terminated with no warning at all.

Terminating an account over a policy breach doesn't come with a refund for fees already paid on its numbers. Where law requires it, or a valid legal request comes in, we work with law enforcement and other relevant authorities.

To flag a number you think is violating this policy, email support@smsconecta.com with the number, when it happened, and what occurred.
