SMS Conecta security: protecting accounts, payments and personal data

Short answer: SMS Conecta lets you switch on two-factor authentication and keeps a record of every sign-in, while sign-up itself only requires an email address. Because all payments run through USDT or USDC on public blockchains, no card or bank information is ever gathered. Found a security problem? Send it to support@smsconecta.com.

An SMS Conecta account gives you control over working phone numbers, and those same numbers frequently receive the verification codes that unlock your other accounts elsewhere. Account security is therefore not a side issue — this page walks through the safeguards in place, the data we store, and the steps for flagging an issue.

Protecting the account: two-factor sign-in and a login history

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available on any SMS Conecta account. Once switched on, logging in requires something beyond your password alone, which means a stolen or guessed password by itself will not open your dashboard. Turning it on right after your first number purchase is a good habit to build.

Your dashboard also logs a running history of sign-ins. Glancing at it periodically helps you catch a login you don't recognize. Spot one, and the right move is to reset your password, confirm 2FA is active, and raise a support ticket so our team can dig into it alongside you.

  • Switch on 2FA from your account settings.
  • Choose a password for SMS Conecta that isn't reused anywhere else.
  • Check the sign-in history after a trip or after logging in on a different device.
  • Guard the email address tied to your account — it is both your sign-up credential and our main contact channel.

Just an email to join: minimal data from the start

Opening an account takes nothing more than an email address. There's no request for your full name, street address, birth date or identity documents, so the amount of personal information we hold about you is small by design.

Not collecting something is the strongest safeguard against it ever leaking — information that was never stored cannot be exposed in a breach. For a full breakdown of what we do retain and the reasons, see our privacy policy.

SIP logins and call security

Every number comes with its own SIP username and password, visible on that number's dashboard page. These credentials have nothing to do with your account password — a PBX or SIP client never touches your dashboard login at all. Handle them the way you would any password: only type them into software you trust, and keep them out of shared docs or chat threads.

Our SIP infrastructure supports digest authentication and will carry signalling over TLS on port 5061, alongside the standard UDP/TCP route on port 5060. We do not offer SRTP media encryption. Skipping a SIP client setup entirely is fine too — the in-browser web dialer lets you place calls from your numbers right after you log in.

Blockchain-only payments mean zero stored card data

SMS Conecta takes payment solely in USDT or USDC, across Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Base or Solana, whether you fund a prepaid wallet or pay straight from checkout. Cards, PayPal and bank transfers are simply not options here, so there's no card number, bank detail or billing address for us to collect or hold.

Every crypto payment shows up on a public blockchain as a wallet-to-wallet transaction — that visibility is inherent to the network and outside our control. On our side, your account retains the order record and the transaction data needed to confirm your payment and handle any billing questions.

The data we work with

Running the service means processing a defined set of data: your email, account and security preferences, sign-in history, the numbers you hold, and the SMS/call logs that appear in your dashboard. This data powers the service itself, keeps accounts safe, supports billing and customer help, and lets us meet our legal duties.

For the complete picture — cookies and analytics, the legal grounds we rely on, and your rights plus how to use them — see the privacy policy.

Dealing with misuse

Numbers riding on genuine national networks keep their value only when they're not weaponized for spam, fraud or harassment. Our acceptable use policy spells out what's permitted and what isn't, and accounts that cross the line face a warning, a suspension, or outright closure.

Being contacted from an SMS Conecta number in a way that violates that policy? Send the number, the date and time, and a description of what happened to support@smsconecta.com — every report gets looked at.

Found a flaw? Responsible disclosure steps

Spotted something that looks like a security hole in smsconecta.com, the dashboard, or our SIP platform? Let us know at support@smsconecta.com. You can also find our security contact in machine-readable form at /.well-known/security.txt.

Give us a fair window to investigate and patch things before going public, and while testing, stay away from accessing, altering or deleting any data that isn't your own.

  • A straightforward account of the issue and its location (URL, endpoint, or SIP component).
  • Reproduction steps, plus what an attacker could gain from it.
  • Supporting proof-of-concept material, screenshots or logs, with anyone else's data stripped out.
  • A way for us to reach you if we have follow-up questions.

What we are not claiming here

This page covers the protections SMS Conecta currently has in place — it isn't a claim of third-party certifications or formal security audits. Need something specific for a security review that isn't addressed above? Reach out to support@smsconecta.com and we'll share what we can.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set up two-factor authentication on SMS Conecta?

Yes — any account can switch on 2FA, which adds a second verification step to your password at login. We suggest enabling it right away after you sign up.

Is there a way to view my account's recent sign-in activity?

Yes. A sign-in history lives in your dashboard, letting you flag any login that doesn't look familiar.

Will SMS Conecta ever hold my card information?

No. Since all payments go through USDT or USDC on public blockchains, card and bank details are never part of the equation.

What do I need to provide to create an account?

Just an email address — there's no requirement for ID documents, a physical address or a phone number.

Is call traffic encrypted?

SIP signalling is able to run over TLS on port 5061, though media encryption (SRTP) isn't offered.

What is the process for reporting a security vulnerability?

Send a description and reproduction steps to support@smsconecta.com. You can also find our security contact listed at /.well-known/security.txt.
